OK so here is what is going on in my life. I work at a cool little restaurant called Red Deli. It is a sandwich shop and we delivery our food. Currently there is no where to sit down while you eat but we are looking for a new place that will have seating right now we are hoping to get the spot where Betos is since they are moving down the street but we will see what happens. We are open nights now which should help business pick up real quick.
This last Thursday I got to hang out with my favorite family that I was adopted into the Cox family. Melissa graduated so they all came out for that and Pat got his mission call. Congrats Pat you will be fantastic. I also got to hang out with Becca and my nephew James which is always fun because I missed Becca. I let James play with my cell which has voice activation so I didn't think he would make any calls on it but he made 3 but the longest call was 10 secs so I don't think anyone answered any of the calls. It was really cool when Jon called and James walking around talking to him it looked like he was trying to put his hand in his back pocket but instead he was just pulling down his pants but the look in James's eyes when Jon started talking to him was awesome you could see the excitement that he was getting to talk to his dad. Unfortunately I had to work so I didn't get to spend more than Thursday with them and I didn't get to see Jon. I love you guys and hope that you all get home safely and that life goes well for you.
Yesterday I had cleaning checks that was awful. My management company signed each of us up for a job but the distribution of jobs is not fair. I had job #1 which was the dishwasher, the oven, the shower, me bedroom, and my bathroom. Here are the other jobs Job #2 the kitchen cupboards, the storage area, the microwave, the fridge, the other shower, her bedroom, and her bathroom; Job #3 the living room her bedroom and bathroom; and last but not least Job #4 the hall, the kitchen floor, and her bedroom and bathroom. Does that distribution seem fair to anyone? For those of you who are confused in my apartment we each have our own room and half bathroom and then share a shower with 1 other person. So I got home from work at about 10 pm and started my cleaning I sprayed the oven before I went to work at 9 am that morning and after I got home it took me until about 1 am to clean the oven (yes it was that dirty, I hardly used it but my roommates spilled stuff in the bottom and then just let it cook there), then I had to clean my bathroom and shower and bedroom. I went to bed around 2 and then got up at 8 am finished cleaning and went to work. Here is the worst part management never came to check the apartment because we locked our door when we left and they lost their copy of the key. Also this afternoon while I was making some dinner I noticed that one of my roommates made a mess on the top of the stove and didn't clean it up I hope that was from today and not from Saturday because I might have failed my cleaning check.
Things are going pretty good in my life. I gave a talk in church today which I hate public speaking but it is something that you get the privilege of doing every now and then. I started writing my talk on the talk on service during this past general conference but last night when I was finishing my talk I changed my mind and wrote on Elder Bednar's talk on prayer. The funny part is all 3 of the speakers spoke on the same talk. We decided either the 3 of us really need to learn about it more or our whole ward needed to hear it. It was cool because there was actually hardly any over lap between the 3 talks so that was awesome.
Lets see other things that you guys may want to know about me. Nope I am not dating anyone, I am planning on going to Florida in May or June for a week that will be cool, and I am having fun. Here is something cool that happened to me this week so Tuesday while I am starting to prepare for my talk the Relief Society President along with one of my home teachers came over with one of the missionaries in our area to see if my non-member (Korean) roommate would be interested in learning about the church unfortunately she was not home but the missionary said something to me that I liked but also threw me through a loop. He told me that he knew that I was living the gospel and I asked why and he said it is because you are so happy you can see the light of Christ in you and that made my whole week right there that is something I think we all want to know that we are living the gospel and that you can tell but is also something that is hard to tell on our own sometimes.
One more thing before I go to bed. So I have comment modifier so that I can see what comments people are making and decided if the are allowed to be posted (haven't rejected any) anyway one of the comments was from April 1st sorry I just read it today but it was Congrats almost 2 years my first impression was Holy Cow it has been 2 years since I graduated college that is so weird and boy does time fly. So here is another pic from when I graduated just for kicks and giggles.

hey! so where is Pat going to serve a mission!?!?! you can't NOT write where missionaries get called, lol! i look forward to being a customer at your awesome business! chao!
Krystal, it was good to see you too! I'm so glad you were able to come with me to Mel's commencement and pizza afterwards. I hope you passed your cleaning check--I really do NOT miss those! I remember when you came over and helped me with my cleaning check at Park Plaza. That was so sweet!
That is neat how all three speakers chose the same talk to talk on, and yet each focused on a different part. Now I want to go read Elder Bednar's talk on prayer to refresh it in my mind. I have been thinking a lot since conference how prayer is a form of work to qualify us for blessings Heavenly Father wants to give us, and that even after a Priesthood blessing, we may to need continue to pray to activate the blessing. The story Elder Bednar shared on the subject really struck me.
I love you, Krystal!
